Coaching for kids through puppets
June 7, 2010Terry was five years old. He had trouble paying attention. His behavior was often irratic. It often seemed liked Terry lived in another universe. But today Terry was serene, focused and well behaved. He stood watching Cory the puppet.
Cory's green hair flowed wildly and his blue mouth and big ping pong eyes amazed Terry. Terry was absorbed in Cory's story, he listened he reacted and was present. It was the first time Terry's teacher had seen him so captivated, so excited and happy.
Puppets have the power to reach even those who sometimes seem unreachable. Puppets give way to a world that cuts through barriers and offers a safe place to be, to learn and create. Puppets create worlds that stir emotion, make us laugh and love.
I am very excited to be bringing Coachfriendzy to you!! Coming this summer my puppet friends will be coaching kids through stories, music and storytelling. Meanwhile have a safe and fun, fun, fun summer. We'll all be seeing you very soon!!!
